You should discuss with your doctor when to resume taking any medications you might have.

After being discharged, take it easy that day and don't do anything strenuous. Don't expect to return to work. The following day you can resume your normal activities.

Continue drinking plenty of water. Try to avoid caffeine products or anything that will produce more gas or cramping. Otherwise you may resume your normal diet.
