About Your Colon

BackNext

The colon is a hollow tube made of muscle that is the last part of your body's digestive tract.

It is about 5 feet long and begins at the end of the small intestine.

The colon travels up, around and down to the sigmoid colon, the rectum and finally the anal sphincter.
